Gunpowder planned and executed a series of “Cast & Blast” events, inviting key media members on hunting and fishing trips to experience Academy’s private label products firsthand. Journalists and influencers took to the water and the field outfitted with Academy gear where the quality and value of the products were on full display and in full test mode. Throughout the years, we’ve partnered with the best journalists in the business to experience Texas’ rich outdoor traditions, Louisiana’s backcountry fisheries and Florida’s offshore treasures. Academy’s Cast & Blast events, and the relationships built through them, have resulted in impactful coverage far beyond the event itself. This strategy has elevated Academy’s private label brands into trusted and popular contenders in the outdoor industry, while also ensuring they remain relevant and in the spotlight where they belong.
